MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY

The Annual Memorial Day Ceremonies will take place on Monday, May 29, 2016 at Veterans Memorial Park, 5th Street & Wesley Avenue, Ocean City. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00AM. Our guest speaker this year is Post member and former Air Force Blackhawk pilot Luke A. Walsh.
Post 524 will host an open house with food and refreshments immediately following the ceremonies. Our address is 3304 Bay Avenue, Ocean City. There is off-street parking on both sides of the building and street parking is also available.
The New Jersey State Veteran's Benefits & Discounts document is a comprehensive twelve page summary that includes: Housing Benefits, Financial Assistance Benefits, Employment Benefits, Education Benefits and Other State Veteran Benefits. Print out a copy and keep it in a handy place.

Post member Joe Cary had the pleasure of taking Hershel W. “Woody” Williams, retired United States Marine, to lunch after an event in Annapolis, Maryland. Woody is the last surviving recipient of the Medal of Honor from the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. WIKIPEDIA – HERSHEL W. WILLIAMS
